Vernacular Music is a "fleximobile" recording facility that operates in any number of places, including:

- Studio at Vernacular headquarters in Kennebunk, Maine. Built in a two-story, 24-foot-by-36-foot barn, the Vernacular Studio is a flexible, full-service studio that can be set up as a control room adjoining an ample tracking area, or a large tracking space with the truck used as the control room. The Vernacular studio doubles as a music library, with a creativity-stimulating collection of 16,000 CDs and hundreds of books, and videos.

- Vernacular Mobile. A 14-foot, customized cube van designed to accommodate location recording projects of up to 48 tracks, the Vernacular Mobile allows the company to provide services in virtually any location. Although the Vernacular Mobile’s specialty is recording live performances in clubs, theaters, and churches, it has also been used in conjunction with recording, rehearsal, and home studios.

- Studio in Tenafly, N.J. (10 minutes outside of NYC). The original location of Vernacular Music, the Tenafly "annex" is equipped for small tracking sessions (up to six musicians), as well as overdubbing, mixing, and mastering projects.
